Our Story

The Backyard Garden Club comes from who I am and where I come from.

I grew up in the Lowcountry, and that experience shaped a lot of how I see food, family, community, and tradition. Food was never just about eating. It was about being together, sharing what you had, and creating memories around the table.

Later, I left home to serve in the U.S. Army. Life took me in a different direction, but I never lost that connection to where I came from. The Lowcountry stayed with me through the food, the culture, the values, and the way I was raised.

As time went on, I found myself getting deeper into gardening, cooking, and creating my own seasonings, finishing salts, and sauces. What started as something I enjoyed doing at home slowly turned into something I wanted to build into a real business.

That is how The Backyard Garden Club was born.

I wanted to create products that were inspired by the flavors I grew up around but still worked for everyday cooking. Whether somebody is cooking seafood, grilling, making dinner for their family, or just trying to add more flavor to a simple meal, I want these products to feel useful, familiar, and full of character.

Everything I create is made with the goal of giving people bold flavors without making cooking complicated. I believe in using real ingredients, making products in small batches, and continuing to improve as the business grows.

The Backyard Garden Club is also personal to me because it represents growth. It started with a garden, but it has become much bigger. It represents where I come from, what I have learned along the way, and what I am trying to build for the future.

I am proud of my Lowcountry roots, proud of my military service, and proud to put that history into a brand that I can continue growing over time.

Thank you for supporting The Backyard Garden Club.
